PUBG Corporation announced that the PUBG Europe League (PEL) Phase 3 came to a dramatic conclusion this Sunday in Berlin / Messe, Germany, with FaZe Clan becoming European champions and taking home the $100,000 first-place prize. Victory also earned FaZe Clan automatic qualification for the PUBG Global Championship (PGC), taking place in California this November. PGC will feature the best PUBG teams from around the world, including five other top-performing PEL squadsβTeam Liquid, Natus Vincere, Team SoloMid, G2 Esports, and CrowCrowdβcompeting for a share of the tournamentβs $2,000,000 prize pool.
PEL took place across six heated weeks, with 96 intense match-ups happening among 16 of the regionβs teams. FaZe Clanβs consistency and commitment to aggressive play took them to the top of the PEL standings and kept them there until the end of the phase. While FaZe Clanβs victory on Sunday earned them a guaranteed slot at PGC, the other five teams qualified by combining 30% of their Phase 2 PEL Performance Points to 70% of Phase 3 PEL Performance Points. Further information on the qualification process can be found here.
Newcomers N47, featuring British player βTeabone,β surprised opponents and fans alike with a strong sixth-place Phase 3 finish, while fellow UK nationals βmyKleβ and βrawryyβ from Team SoloMid helped their team earn a berth at PGC.
