Esports powerhouse ReKTGlobal announces the addition of Find Your Grind as a team sponsor for Call of Duty League’s London Royal Ravens and Team Rogue, including competitive teams in the League of Legends European Championship (LEC), Apex Legends, Rocket League and Rainbow Six Siege. Founded by entrepreneur/musician Nick Gross, Find Your Grind (FYG) helps young people navigate the path to self- and career discovery with a lens focused on 21st-century opportunities.
The team sponsorships mark a broad expansion of the collaboration between ReKTGlobal and Find Your Grind, which initially joined forces in 2018 to launch Junior Rogue, a semester-long professional gaming accelerator program that provides amateur teen Fortnite players with opportunities to succeed in esports. Junior Rogue gives aspiring gamers and content creators access to industry experts, one-on-one coaching and scholarships, plus the opportunity to be mentored by Fortnite pros like DrLupo, named one of TIME’s most influential people. The duo of ReKTGlobal and FYG also launched the largest annual esports lifestyle scholarship program in the United States, which awarded $450,000 in scholarships in 2018, not only to high school esports athletes, but also to teens with a strong passion for the business side of esports.
“For Find Your Grind, the Royal Ravens and Rogue sponsorships are about more than logos on jerseys and social media pages. It’s about connecting, inspiring and educating youth on sports career possibilities,” said Nick Gross, founder of Find Your Grind. “We’re looking forward to adding more esports athletes and business pros as FYG mentors in our program, who can help legitimize gaming as a career path in the eyes of students and their parents. We also plan to produce content with the teams to work better with students who want to be involved in gaming.”
“The Royal Ravens and Team Rogue have some of the most passionate fans and most celebrated pros in esports,” said Dave Bialek, CEO of ReKTGlobal, which is the owner and operator of both teams. “The team sponsorships are a natural extension of the relationship between FYG and ReKTGlobal, and will increase the impact and exposure of FYG’s great work in the gaming community and beyond.”
The London Royal Ravens will head into Call of Duty League’s Champs in August proudly sporting the FYG logo on their jerseys. The team roster includes Matthew “Skrapz” Marshall, Bradley “Wuskin” Marshall, Trei “Zer0” Morris, Thomas “Dylan” Henderson, Sean “Seany” O’Connor, Rhys “Rated” Price, Dylan “Madcat” Daly and Jordan “Jurd” Crowley.
The Rogue League of Legends European Championship team will also sport FYG-emblazoned gear with a roster that includes Finn Wiestal, Kacper “Inspired” Sloma, Emil “Larssen” Larsson, Oskar “Vander” Bogdan, and Steven “Hans sama” Liv.
“We’re excited to take our work with Find Your Grind to the next level,” said ReKTGlobal founder Amish Shah. “FYG and Junior Rogue have opened the doors for young people to have the freedom to explore their passion for gaming and pursue careers in the billion dollar sports industry. Now, through the new team sponsorships, the foundation will have the power to reach even more people.”
In addition to the sponsorship with Find Your Grind, ReKTGlobal recently announced a partnership with leading gaming peripheral maker HyperX. The esports powerhouse has also inked sponsorship deals with State Farm, Kia and Scuf Gaming, among others. ReKTGlobal investors include EDM legend Steve Aoki, international producer and DJ Nicky Romero, Grammy-winning rock band Imagine Dragons, Latin record producer and songwriter Tainy, twotime NBA defensive player of the year Rudy Gobert, pro tennis phenom Taylor Fritz, NFL strong safety Landon Collins and Nick Gross.
