Here is all you need to know about Red Bull Contested:
Red Bull Contested will play out in a unique solos Fortnite format created specifically for the tournament, which will see the world’s best players battle across eight intense rounds but with an additional twist on the traditional points system.
For the final four rounds, eliminations will be worth double points, forcing players to adopt new aggressive strategies to stay in the hunt for the crown, while also incentivising the lower-ranked players to play more aggressively, promising fans an unforgettable finale.
Promising an intense and memorable experience for a live audience, the list of invited players includes Norwegian Fortnite superstar Martin “MrSavage” Foss Andersen. MrSavage is joined by other top Fortnite players from around the world, including FNCS: C3S2 winner Harry “Veno” Pearson, runner-up in the FNCS Major 1: C4S1 Grand Finals Thomas “Th0masHD” Høxbro Davidsen, Fortnite prodigy and Red Bull Player Jaden “Wolfiez” Ashman, who was the youngest ever esports player to reach $1m in earnings as well as Champion of the Gamers8 2022 tournament Zachariah ‘Pinq’ Siddall.
Continuing the roster of elite Red Bull Contested talent to compete includes Shane “EpikWhale” Cotton, the reigning champion of the 2021 FNCS: Grand Royale. Aleksa “Queasy” Cvetkovic, the victor of the C3S1 Grand Finals will also be in attendance alongside Michał “Kami” Kamiński and Iwo “Setty” Zając, who emerged as champions in the 2022 FNCS: Invitational and the EU C2S8: FNCS Grand Finals respectively.
Following the open qualifiers earlier in May, 10 skilled UK players also secured their spots to go head-to-head against some of the world’s best Fortnite players, competing from the iconic McEwan Hall in the Scottish capital.
