3DClouds, the independent studio behind the upcoming racer, has officially confirmed that Formula Legends will launch worldwide on September 18, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch. The game will retail for £19.99 / $19.99 / €19.99, delivering a blend of arcade fun and sim depth that appeals to both casual players and hardcore racing enthusiasts.
Formula Legends is a slick open-wheel sim-cade experience that pays homage to over seventy years of motorsport history. Players can expect an approachable but challenging driving experience filled with iconic cars, teams, and circuits from three distinct racing eras—the mid-’70s, early ’90s, and mid-2020s. Each car and track setup is uniquely tailored to its time period, offering nostalgia and modern speed in equal measure.
The developers at 3DClouds have been laser-focused on ensuring the game strikes a balance between fun and realism. While the game features accessible controls and customizable assists, it also includes simulation-style elements like tyre wear, fuel consumption, damage modeling, and dynamic weather systems. It’s a true sim-cade hybrid that adapts to your preferred racing style.
