Future Games Show at gamescom 2025 – Full Recap
The main event gave us a huge mix of blockbusters, indies, and world premieres. Highlights included:

- 13Z: The Zodiac of Trials – Kinetic hack-and-slash roguelike, coming soon to PC and Xbox. Watch the new gameplay trailer here
- RECUR – Kaleidoscube’s innovative sidescrolling puzzler, where you move backwards and forwards to control the flow of time. New Gameplay has dropped as well, and you can watch it here.
- Hyper Light Breaker – Heart Machine shadowdropped a new update for Hyper Light Breaker, and you can watch the trailer here.
- BPM: Bitcrushed – The next game from BPM: Bullets Per Minute creators Awe Interactive is BPM: Bitcrushed. It’s a pixel art roguelite rhythm shooter where you can battle to the beat of your own imported music. Check out the trailer to go with the announcement here.
- Hotel Barcelona – White Owls Inc.’s upcoming slasher roguelike got a brand new trailer, check it out here.
- The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin – An open-world adventure game based on the beloved anime, and a brand new gameplay trailer just dropped.
- Cronos: The New Dawn – The second ‘Ones to Watch’ Deep Dive focused on Cronos: The New Dawn, Bloober Team’s time-travelling survival horror adventure set in Nowa Huta.
- Town to City – Is an idyllic Mediterranean city builder from the creators of Station to Station. Watch the early access trailer here.
- Fellowship – Embark on endlessly scaling dungeon runs in Fellowship, a co-operative PvE RPG from Chief Rebel. A New Early access trailer has also dropped. Watch it here.
- Dome Keeper – Tactical digging roguelike Dome Keeper announced a major update. Check out the trailer to find out more.

- Tormented Souls 2 – Release date October 23. Now watch the release date trailer, it’s good.
- Gods, Death & Reapers – Wolcen Studio’s Action RPG infused with innovative extraction mechanics. Find out more in this new trailer.
- Styx: Blades of Greed – Cyanide Studio shared the gameplay reveal of Styx: Blades of Greed. Watch it here.
- Anno 117: Pax Romana – Rule over Albion, November 13. Ubisoft also dropped a new trailer, and you can watch it here.
- American Truck Simulator & Euro Truck Simulator 2 – Beep beep! SCS Software’s legendary Truck Simulator games are finally coming to consoles. Watch the announcement trailer here.
- Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord – War of Sails DLC – A brand new trailer for Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord’s War Sails DLC provided a Viking-themed overview of what players can expect.
- Wild Blue – Chuhai Labs has released a new trailer that showcases gameplay for Wild Blue, the studio’s on-rails aerial action game. It’s coming soon to PC.
- Windstorm: The Legend of Khiimori – A horse-riding adventure where you play as a brave courier in 13th-century Mongolia. Watch to know more? Watch the trailer here.
- Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree – A new trailer for Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree digs into the gameplay loop underpinning this anime action roguelite.
- Shape of Dreams – is a MOBA-roguelite fusion game where you explore an ever-changing dream world. You can not check out a new game trailer
- Lost Hellden -Lost Hellden A story-rich JRPG with a unique hand-painted art style, and a brand new gameplay trailer. right now.
- Serial World – A world premiere trailer revealed Serial World, a roguelike deckbuilder where you collect and wield the powers of adorable creatures.
- Phantom Blade Zero – Phantom Blade Zero is a kung fu soulslike where you play as an elite assassin. Watch a new deep dive video now
- Active Matter – A mind-bending extraction shooter where you play as an operative stuck in a time loop. Check out the trailer of the game to find out more.
- Pragmata – A puzzle-hacking action game from Capcom, with a great new developer video to deep dive into and watch.
- Halloween: The Game – Stealth horror based on Carpenter’s classic, 2026. Watch the world premiere trailer.
And that’s only scratching the surface. Other reveals included Pizza Bandit (launch August 25), Bounty Star (October 23), Little Nightmares III (October 10), Reach (October 16), and a ton of promising indies like Witchspire, Serial World, and Servant of the Lake.

- KAIDAN – World premiere, cinematic action vs Yokai

- Cairn – Free Solo Mode revealed, November 5. A new trailer has been released to celebrate the update.
- Metal Eden – Cyberpunk shooter, September 2. There is also a brand new trailer ready to be watched.

- The SIGNAL: Stranded on Sirenis – A new trailer transported viewers to the alien climes of THE SIGNAL: Stranded on Sirenis, a survival crafting game from developers Goose Byte.
- The Killing Stone – Folk horror card battler from The Magic Circle team. Check out the world premiere right now.
- Katanaut – Cosmic horror action roguelite Katanaut got a release date. Check out the trailer to find out more.
- Will: Follow the Light – Tomorrowhead Studio dropped a brand new gameplay trailer for the perilous puzzle adventure.
- Jump Space – Co-op mission game, early access September 19. The announcement also comes with a brand new trailer.
- The Remake of the End of the Greatest RGP of All Time – A new trailer revealed the release date of The Remake of the End of the Greatest RPG of All Time. Uncover the truth about this metafictional combat-puzzler when it launches on November 12.
Other notable appearances included Robo Frenzy (with an official FGS collaboration), Capy Castaway, Town of Zoz, Firefighting Simulator: Ignite (September 9), Son of Thanjai, and horror experiences like Unmourned and Dark Hours.
Best of Gamescom Coming Soon
The week wraps up with FGS Best Of gamescom on Sunday, August 24 at 11am PT / 2pm ET / 7pm BST / 8pm CEST. Expect booth tours, AAA gameplay demos, exclusive interviews, and a recap of the biggest announcements.
