Gamers load-outs are never complete without a good mouse, It’s like the icing on a cake or the secondary weapon. They come in all shapes and sizes and can perform different tasks, there are so many to choose from but ultimately, it’s down to the gamer to find the one that’s right for them. I have had a few mouses from Genesis and would probably say this one is my favourite but is the Genesis Krypton 770 a gaming mouse for you?
First impressions
As always with Genesis products the mouse was safe and secure inside the packaging. When I got it out of the box, I loved the Black finish and the Genesis logo that sits at the base of the mouse. The mouse felt comfortable and the side panels are super comfy, it has a rubbery feel to the side panels which my other mouse didn’t have. When I plugged it in it lit up like a Christmas Tree, of course, this has RGB on it. It was even better when you install the software (Krypton 770 Gaming Software) that goes with the mouse and you can make it do a whole load of cool things, such as customs macros and even custom light effects. It slides across my mouse mat with ease and it fits my hand well, it is the most comfortable mouse I have used to date.
I’m digging this mouse
So, first impressions out the way lets move onto the more technical stuff that you are probably more interested in. The Krypton 770 is fitted with one of the worlds best sensors, high-tech software and several other features which will impress any gamer. The added RGB lighting is just a bonus, that for me is needed for any gaming setup. I don’t know what it is but when something has RGB lighting it takes it to a whole new level. The PMW 3360 by PixArt is one of the best optical sensors on the market so its only fitting that a good gaming mouse comes equipped with high-end specs.
The last thing you’d want in any competition, tournament or just casual gaming is to be left behind and not have the best gear. The DPI switch will let you manipulate the resolution during a game and allows you to choose one of the six levels. These levels can be adjusted to your liking which further adds to the appeal of the mouse. It has a nylon-braided cable to prevent the cable from getting tangled as well as rubber sides like mentioned before for ultimate comfort while playing. The quality of the mouse feels durable and I have to say it’s nice and light which helps it glide across my mouse mat without any problems.
The added software that comes with the mouse takes it to a whole new level. You can make custom RGB palettes and choose from premade effects that can make your mouse look like the Vegas Strip. When using this mouse at night it lights up the room and I love messing around with the settings because I struggle to just pick one as they are all amazing. For the more advanced gamers, you can make custom Marcos as well as map the buttons on the mouse to do what you want them to do. Not only this but the mouse can store your settings thanks to the in-built memory it has, this is handy for when you want to use it LAN or when you fancy a game around your friend’s house and you might take your mouse with you. The Krypton 770 also came with a free gift which is a Multitool card, this little card is awesome and a very handy little thing to have around.

Conclusion
If you are in the market for a new mouse I would highly recommend checking out the Krypton 770 pro gaming mouse. Even though it might be a bit pricy at £52.35 on Amazon, it can be said that it is worth it. Its RGB lighting is the best I have seen on most mouses, it’s super comfy and the whole design is flawless. It doesn’t have the module side panels as my last Genesis mouse did but I can live with that as the Krypton just feels and plays a lot better than my other one. The Rubber side panels allow for extra grip and maximum comfort for long gaming sessions, the software that partners with this mouse really helps elevate what you get out of it and gives it that edge on other mouses out there. For these reasons, I’m more than happy to give the Krypton 770 pro gaming mouse a 10 out of 10.
