Celebrity crossovers in games can go one of two ways: they either feel like marketing gimmicks or they genuinely elevate the experience. With the Patient Zero Requiem Pack, Hitman World of Assassination lands firmly in the second category.
This DLC expands on the darker threads of the Patient Zero storyline and introduces Milla Jovovich as biotech CEO Lilith Devereux in The Harbinger Elusive Target mission. And honestly? Her presence changes the tone in ways I didn’t expect.
From her sci-fi cult legacy in The Fifth Element to her action-hero dominance in the Resident Evil film series, Jovovich carries decades of screen authority. Seeing that same composed intensity brought into Hitman’s precise, emotionless assassination sandbox creates something surprisingly powerful.
Because this time, lining up the shot doesn’t feel automatic, it feels off, unsettling, and for me, the inability to complete Agent 47’s hit, I just did not want to kill Milla Jovovich.

What Is the Patient Zero Requiem Pack?
The Requiem Pack builds on the original Patient Zero narrative arc and offers more than just a time-limited Elusive Target. Unlike traditional one-and-done contracts, this pack provides permanent access through Elusive Target Arcade, giving us the player replayable content tied directly to the Harbinger mission.
The DLC includes:
- Permanent access to The Contagion Elusive Target Arcade contract
- The Harbinger mission featuring Lilith Devereux
- New themed weapons and gear
- Cosmetic rewards for Freelancer mode
- Unique unlockables tied to Requiem challenges
That permanence matters. Elusive Targets are notorious for their limited windows, but here you’re allowed to experiment, retry, and refine your approach without fear of losing access forever. Unless you are anything like me, and don’t want to kill her. Yes, I got the DLC because I enjoy Hitman and I honestly thought I would be able to do this contract as well.

The Harbinger – A Target With Presence
Lilith Devereux isn’t written as a cartoon villain. She’s composed, intelligent, and radiates quiet authority. The role fits Jovovich naturally — controlled intensity, calm delivery, and that unmistakable action-hero posture, mixed with the oozing yummyness.
In most Hitman missions, targets are defined by corruption dossiers and overheard conversations. They exist as puzzles to solve. But here, personality steps forward.
That changes the dynamic.
As Agent 47, you’re trained — mechanically and narratively — to detach. The objective marker turns red, and you execute. But when the target carries recognisable charisma and cinematic weight, there’s a flicker of hesitation. Not because the mechanics are harder. Not because the AI behaves differently.
Because it feels different.
And that emotional wrinkle adds depth to a formula built on precision. My precision equalled walking away many times from completing the task.

Story Integration Within Patient Zero
The Patient Zero arc already leans hard into biological threats, shadowy corporate machinations, and the fragility of global systems—and that’s exactly why Lilith Devereux’s inclusion lands so well. As the ambitious, mysterious prospective CEO of the shadowy Ether Biotech Corporation, she embodies the perfect blend of corporate power and moral ambiguity the arc thrives on.
Devereux isn’t just a name on a VIP list. Her meteoric rise within Ether has followed a string of suspicious deaths—including the unexplained passing of her predecessor Neleis De Waal and two chief scientists—which throws her motivations into question almost immediately. Much of her ascent is backed by the influential Gregory Carlisle, whose support suggests there’s far more going on behind closed doors than a simple fundraising gala.
In the Patient Zero Requiem narrative, 47 is sent to Thornbridge Manor not just to eliminate a powerful executive, but to unravel a web of deceit. Rumours swirl that Devereux’s connections with the Carlisle family may be personal as much as political, and that factions within the elite see her as a threat to their own power.
Where many crossover characters risk feeling gimmicky, Devereux deepens the conspiracy tone. Scattered intel and overheard rumours hint at her shadowy past and rising influence, creating a palpable unease that ties directly into the wider Patient Zero themes rather than existing apart from them. On top of that, the mission layers in subtle nods to biological menace and corporate self‑interest, reinforcing that Devereux isn’t just a target—she’s a driver of the plot.
It feels cohesive. That cohesion is what stops the crossover from becoming gimmicky and instead makes it feel like a natural escalation of the Patient Zero crisis.

Gameplay – Still Classic Hitman
Mechanically, this is pure Hitman.
- Multiple infiltration routes
- Layered disguise systems
- Environmental “accidents”
- Poison opportunities
- Silent Assassin pathways
- Improvisation when things go wrong
The level design encourages experimentation. You can manipulate schedules, isolate targets, create distractions, or orchestrate elaborate multi-step assassinations. The Harbinger mission doesn’t reinvent the wheel — and it doesn’t need to.
The power comes from context.
When a mission adds emotional texture without sacrificing sandbox freedom, that’s smart design. You’re still in control. You still decide how the contract unfolds. But now there’s an extra layer of tension behind the decision.

Presentation & Performance
Character modelling captures Jovovich’s sharp features and confident posture well. The performance is measured, understated, and tonally consistent with Hitman’s grounded espionage style.
Celebrity cameos can sometimes feel like publicity stunts. Here, it feels like casting. That distinction matters.
Visually, the mission benefits from strong lighting, crowd density, and environmental detail. Freelancer integration and cosmetic rewards add longevity beyond a single playthrough.
Final Verdict
The Patient Zero Requiem Pack proves that Hitman: World of Assassination can blend cinematic star power with calculated sandbox design without losing its identity.
Milla Jovovich’s Lilith Devereux brings personality, tension, and a subtle emotional edge to a franchise built on detachment. It doesn’t rewrite the Hitman formula — but it adds flavour, weight, and replayable value.
