Humble Bundle and some of the biggest names from the games industry have joined forces to support SpecialEffect’s One Special Day fundraising event with a very special Humble Bundle. It will be the first Bundle specifically dedicated to One Special Day since SpecialEffect launched their annual flagship fundraising event in 2016.

The Bundle, which launches on 18th September, will include the titles OlliOlli2: Welcome to Olliwood, Stronghold Crusader 2, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series, Surgeon Simulator, GRID 2, Operation Flashpoint: Red River, Streets of Rage, Crazy Taxi, Binary Domain and Alpha Protocol from Devolver Digital, Firefly Studios, Telltale Games, Bossa Studios, Codemasters and SEGA.
The Bundle will remain on sale until 2nd of October and will help fund the gamers’ charity’s work in helping severely physically disabled gamers all over the world access digital games by adapting and creating hardware and software. It’s money that’s needed more than ever as the profile of SpecialEffect has risen sharply following news and social media coverage of its life-transforming work.
Frank Sagnier, SpecialEffect Vice-President and CEO of Codemasters summed up why he’s so pleased for the company to support One Special Day,
“SpecialEffect is a remarkable charity and I could not be more proud that Codemasters has been able to support their outstanding work as part of the One Special Day 2018 Humble Bundle. When I first saw the smile on people’s faces who were able to enjoy playing games with their friends, I was truly inspired by SpecialEffect’s raison d’être and understood the profound impact of their tailor-made work on people’s lives. I am delighted that Codemasters are able to support as a very proud One Special Day partner.”
Many other games companies will join in the fun of One Special Day with titles in a Humble store promotion and a series of events in studios all over the UK, including Karaoke, quiz nights and Bake Sales.
With a huge added contribution from partners from the mobile games industry and their gaming communities, it’s likely that this year will see the total amount raised from One Special Day since 2016 exceed $1,000,000.
