Following the huge success of Huntdown’s launch to consoles, and exclusively to the Epic Games Store for PC, Coffee Stain Publishing has revealed the title is set to launch on Steam with a hefty update, including new game modes. It promises to offer new and existing players a new mode of high-octane action with even more arcade-focused challenges.
For a brief overview of Huntdown, imagine the Warriors meets Blade Runner- that’s the setting. It is a slick platformer featuring hand painted 16-bit pixel art graphics and hand-drawn animations, combined with fluid action-packed 60-FPS gameplay and an epic 80s soundtrack pumping dark wave, industrial synth, hard rock and electro through 20 unique levels. Alone or in couch co-op, players have the choice between three very unique characters, equipped with different playstyles and hundreds of hilarious one-liners.
It enjoyed a host of high-scoring reviews on release, currently sitting with a rating of 85 on Metacritic. Coffee Stain Publishing feel this upcoming Steam launch will give the game a fresh new lease of life and introduce more fans into its cult-like following.
