Insomnia returns to the NEC Birmingham from the 7th to the 10th of September. For fans, it’s a chance to come together and try out the hottest game releases of the year, revisit beloved retro gems, engage in immersive live-action experiences, cheer on their favourite esports teams in live finals, watch and take part in cosplay competitions, and meet renowned creators and voice actors from around the world.
This year visitors will get the chance to meet some of their favourite stars including guests never seen before on the Insomnia line-up.
- Ben Starr has lent his voice to Clive Rosfield, a protagonist in the highly acclaimed, action-packed game Final Fantasy XVI. He is best known for his role as Dr. Christopher Priestley from the English TV drama Jamestown as well as Judas from the 2018 film 7 Miracles.
- Pyrocynical, British YouTuber known for his commentary videos on internet culture and gaming. His witty, thought-provoking videos helped him achieve a hugeonline following of 4.77 million YouTube subscribers. Initially gaining popularity through his humorous montage videos, Pyrocynical’s content has since evolved to include more in-depth discussions and insights on internet trends and culture.
- Fans of Resident Evil and the newly released Baldur’s Gate III, a role-playing game set in the universe of Dungeons & Dragons, will have an opportunity to meet Neil Newbon. Neil’s expertise in performance capture and voice acting spawns across over 13 years and includes titles such as Deliver Us Mars, Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier, and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.
- Faya Mata, an American voice actress known under the gamertag “Princess Aura” in the Pokémon Worlds and WCG Ultimate Gamer show. Faya is most famous for lending her voice to Lulu in League of Legends and Aqua, a main protagonist of the Konosuba series. In addition to her voice acting career, she has been an active participant in numerous game tournaments and she continues to host charity streams via Twitch.
- Elle Newlands, best known for her role as Horizon in Apex Legends and Female Necromancer in Diablo IV. On top of her extensive voice acting career, Ella is also a singer and songwriter whose vocals and music gained her popularity across Europe and USA.
- Devora Wilde, a gifted voice actress better known as Lae’zel in Baldur’s Gate III and Nearl in Arknight. This BAFTA Breakthrough Longlist Nominee has starred in shows like Pandora and Hollyoaks and continues to expand her impressive portfolio with two new movies coming this year.
- Harry McEntire, best known for his fantastic portrayal of Aethelwold in the historical fiction series, The Last Kingdom. Harry’s voice acting skills shine through Noah, the main protagonist in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, and Hunwald in Assassins Creed Valhalla.
- Cosplay stars, Luce Cosplay and Madsfive, will also be available for autographs and photo opportunities all weekend long
Insomnia day tickets start from £27, with children under 6 free and weekend passes from £79. There are also a host of add-ons and goodies available, including full event camping with early festival access. A range of ticket options designed specifically for LAN gamers are available ranging from Lite passes priced from £89 for the weekend, through to VIP tickets from £290.
