Interabang Entertainment in collaboration with Spoony Bard Productions have announcef that Jay and Silent Bob: Mall Brawl is out today on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Arcade Edition of the game, which was released last year on Steam and Nintendo Switch, includes improved visuals and an enhanced soundtrack, as well as rebalanced gameplay and other quality-of-life improvements. The new versions of Mall Brawl are available digitally or as a physical release coming soon in collaboration with Limited Run Games.
After sabotaging a public-access TV “Truth or Date” broadcast that was being filmed at the mall, Jay and Silent Bob are pursued by the chief of security LaFours and his low-level goons. The duo will have to battle a path back home to their familiar post outside the Quick Stop. They’ll face countless security guards, aggressive mall rats, bouncing barrels, and a host of other threats that are bound to be familiar to players who grew up in the NES era of 8-bit brawlers.
Jay and Silent Bob: Mall Brawl is available digitally for $14.99 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and is playable on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S via backward compatibility. For the first week of launch, the game is discounted at 10 percent off on all platforms. Anyone who previously purchased the game on Steam or Nintendo Switch can upgrade to the Arcade Edition at no additional cost.
Limited Run Games is also releasing special physical editions of Jay and Silent Bob: Mall Brawl on PlayStation 4. The Standard Edition is $29.99 and includes a region-free disc with a full-color booklet. The Collector’s Edition is $54.99, which comes bundled with the game, a retro-style cartridge sleeve that fits over the game case, a 12-song Mall Brawl soundtrack, and a 18″ x 24″ reversible poster. Pre-orders for both editions are open until May 23.
