OnePlus delighted fans at the exclusive OnePlus 7 Pro pop-up, held at the John Lewis and Partners flagship store on Oxford Street, where dedicated followers and newcomers of the brand were the first in the UK to buy the industry-leading OnePlus 7 Pro.
A crowd of over 150 people queued outside the Oxford Street flagship John Lewis store for hours before opening time at 12pm today with the first in-queue having first arrived at 3pm yesterday, a whopping 21 hours before doors opened, making sure he was the first in the UK to buy a OnePlus 7 Pro, Nebula Blue with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB Storage.
Nick Pereira, who has been a fan of OnePlus products since the company’s beginning said this about why he is so dedicated to the brand; “I love OnePlus because they are very community-based. It’s all about the people and the OnePlus 7 Pro is the perfect phone for the people”. The 150 strong queue members is true testament to those who still line up for new technology. YouTube star, Arun Maini, AKA Mrwhosetheboss, was in attendance to meet and greet the crowds and also sold the first device to Nick, as an extra moment of delight for the fan.
The new OnePlus 7 Pro comes with the most immersive screen on the market – a fully uninterrupted Quad HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and complete with a DisplayMate A+ rating. John Lewis and Partners is the first retailer to stock the device until 8pm today only, ahead of open sales on Tuesday 21st May. q
The device was announced on Tuesday 14th May at the Printworks venue in London by CEO and founder of the company, Pete Lau, who said “The OnePlus 7 Pro is the closest we’ve got to a perfect product,”.
