Riot’s plans to celebrate the launch of Wild Rift Open Beta in Europe, Turkey, Russia, CIS the Middle East and North Africa.
On December 10 at 9:45 AM GMT, we are rallying the world for the biggest baron battle in history, with players across the planet uniting in a Youtube Livestream to face off against everyone’s favourite ancient Void-born river serpent – Baron Nashor.
Anyone can attend the Livestream and when they do, players will face off against a live Baron Nashor who they will need to defeat within a set time using summoner spells and champion abilities.
The world is your team and everyone will have to work together to slay the beast.
When Baron is slain:
- All Open Beta participants will unlock a unique emote and icon in 2021.
- A ‘credits screen’ will appear in the Youtube Live Experience, with the names of those who started the fight with Baron Nashor appearing on screen, never to be forgotten.
Pro Tips to help you slay the beast
- By typing [1], [2] and [3] in the chat you can SMITE the monstrous serpent who will respond dynamically to attacks on the fly, getting more fearsome as more players join the chat.
- Max out the SMITE gauge to deal critical damage to Baron. A yellow bar will appear for a limited time when the gauge is full. So focus your efforts and work together as a team to launch a well-timed coordinated attack.
- Aside from players from around the world, some legendary champions of Runeterra will also join the fray. You’ll need to work with other players to summon them to the battlefield by typing [4]
- Look out for the glowing rings around attacks – that means those attacks are empowered and deal bonus damage!
- Switch from top chat mode to live chat mode to follow the voting live!
