Fresh news coming straight out of GDC for Marvel fans everywhere. Limited Run Games, working alongside Marvel Games and KONAMI, has officially confirmed the release date for MARVEL MaXimum Collection, a retro-packed bundle celebrating some of the most beloved Marvel video games ever released.
The upcoming collection brings together a number of classic titles from Marvelā€™s gaming history, giving modern playersthe chance to revisit ā€“ or discover for the first time ā€“ several iconic releases.
Best of all, the collection includes the legendary X-Men: The Arcade Game, which has long been one of the most requested classic Marvel titles for a modern home release.

Digital Release Arrives March 27
MARVEL MaXimum Collection will launch digitally on March 27, 2026. Players will be able to download the game on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
The release brings together several fan-favourite Marvel titles in one package, offering players the chance to experience classic superhero arcade action once again on modern platforms.
For long-time fans of Marvel arcade games, the inclusion of X-Men: The Arcade Game is likely to be the headline attraction. Originally released in arcades during the early 1990s, the co-op beat ’em up quickly became a fan favourite thanks to its colourful visuals, large playable roster, and chaotic multiplayer action.
Physical Editions Available for Collectors
Players who still prefer physical copies will also have the opportunity to grab a boxed version of the collection.
Limited Run Games confirmed that pre-orders for the Standard Edition will open on March 27, the same day as the digital launch. Pre-orders will remain available until May 24, giving collectors a limited window to secure a copy.
The Standard Edition will be available for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X|S.
As expected from a Limited Run Games release, physical copies are likely to become collectorā€™s items once the pre-order window closes.
