Cast Light into an Obscured Past
Players take on the role of MIO, a nimble android awakening alone aboard a vast derelict spaceship known as the Vessel. Exploring lush corridors overtaken by vegetation and facing malfunctioning machines, MIO uncovers fragments of a forgotten history. Every corner hides a secret, every discovery unlocks new powers, and the game’s stunning visuals craft an atmosphere that is as beautiful as it is unsettling.
A Demanding and Memorable Experience
MIO Memories in Orbit blends precise platforming with dynamic combat, creating a gameplay loop that challenges players to adapt, experiment, and master an evolving arsenal of abilities and modifiers. The Vessel is filled with threats, treacherous enemies, and hidden paths, ensuring that curiosity and skill are always rewarded.
From Vision to Vessel: The Studio Behind MIO
Developed by Douze Dixièmes, the studio behind the acclaimed Shady Part of Me, MIO reflects a meticulous, artisanal approach to game creation. “We wanted to create an experience that brings together everything we love: a genre we’re passionate about with challenging mechanics, a mysterious sci-fi world, and a strong visual identity made possible by our own custom engine,” says Sarah Hourcade, Co-founder of Douze Dixièmes and Producer on MIO. “After five years of hard work, the whole team can’t wait to see MIO come to life through the eyes of players.”
Echoes of the Vessel
MIO Memories in Orbit features striking art direction inspired by graphic novels, classic sci-fi, anime, and comics. Its haunting soundtrack, composed by Nicolas Gueguen, includes 75 tracks blending ambient melodies, layered synths, and live-recorded choir voices. The OST will be available on all major platforms—including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and Bandcamp—starting January 20. Listen to the OST here.
