New data released by GAME reveals the most popular video game songs of all time.
The study has analysed streams on Spotify to reveal the top 20 tracks which have made fans press play and gain popularity outside of their gaming roots.
The research also estimates the earnings generated through streams on Spotify for each track featured on the list and reveals the famous faces you might not realise wrote music for games including Michael Jackson!
‘Legends Never Die’ tops the chart creating £745,692 in revenue![]()

The top three most streamed video game tracks on Spotify are all from League of Legends, one of the most popular MOBA games ever released.
The most popular track, Legends Never Die, has been streamed 219 million times, equating to £745k in revenue.
RISE comes in at second place with 130 million streams and £443k in revenue with Phoenix being the last League of Legends track to round off the top three on 78million streams.
An Undertale track makes it into fourth place, MEGALOVANIA has over 74 million streams on the platform which totals an estimated £253 million in revenue.
Also making the top ten are 3 tracks from Minecraft. Sweden by C418 is the most popular, reaching 74 million streams and generating over £250k.

The study also reveals the most popular video game composers on Spotify. The research has analysed the total number of monthly listeners for some of the world’s biggest composers including groups and individuals.
The Riot Games Music Team comes out on top due to the worldwide appeal of League of Legends. The group has a whopping 5.6 million monthly listeners.
In second place is composer and developer for Undertale, Toby Fox with 1.7 million listeners.
Rounding off the top three with 1.4 million monthly listeners is Martin Przybyłowicz, who has composed music for The Witcher series and most recently, Cyberpunk 2077.
