Nintendo has launched update 9.0 for your Nintendo switch, the update includes the following
- Online Play Invites: Added to User’s page. Invites from friends to join online play in supported software will be displayed in this section.
- Alarm Notifications: Added to system settings/notifications. Check or delete pre-set alarms that can be set up within supported software (to be added at a later time). Controller update likely required to use this feature.
- News Channel Search Function: Search the News Channel using filters or free text.
- Nintendo Account QR Code Check: Display a QR Code on-screen to check in using your Nintendo Account.
- Disable System Button Input: Switch Lite only feature. When set to ‘off’, the system no longer receives input from console buttons except Capture and Home. Only wireless controllers will work.
- Touchscreen Sensitivity Settings: Select between ‘standard’ and ‘stylus’
- Controller Update: Upgrade the firmware in your Switch controllers via the settings menu.
- General System Stability Improvements: This includes resolution of an issue in Fire Emblem: Three Houses where some users were unable to start the game and get an error instead.
