Nioh 3 Demo Live on PS5 and Steam Ahead of February 2026 Launch

KOEI TECMO Europe and developer Team NINJA have released a brand-new demo for their dark samurai action RPG Nioh 3 on PlayStation 5 and Windows PC via Steam. The demo allows players to explore the early stages of the game and claim an exclusive in-game bonus item.

Sharpen Your Blades Before Launch

The demo offers both solo play and online multiplayer for up to three players, letting aspiring shoguns:

Create their own custom character
Explore the turbulent Warring States period
Face off against the electrifying boss Jakotsu-baba

Save data from the demo carries over to the full game. Players who complete the demo by 15th February 2026 will receive the Twin-Snake Helmet, usable in the full version of the game.

Note: PlayStation®5 users in Germany need a PlayStation Plus subscription to access the demo. Online multiplayer does not support cross-play, and players who claimed the bonus in the Alpha Demo cannot obtain it again.

Pre-Orders and Editions

Nioh 3 is available to pre-order physically and digitally. Options include:

Digital Deluxe Edition
Season Pass (sold separately)
SteelBook® edition, which includes the base game and two exclusive DLCs

All pre-orders include the Early Purchase Bonus Hellfrost Armor set, redeemable in-game until 19th February 2026. Eligible players will also receive bonus armor sets inspired by previous Nioh protagonists: Youngblood Armor (Samurai) and Lone Wolf’s Armor (Ninja).

Nioh 3 at the British Museum

The Nioh franchise, including Nioh 3, will be featured in the upcoming Samurai exhibition at the British Museum in February 2026, highlighting the series’ cultural inspiration alongside historical samurai artifacts. More info is available on the British Museum website.

Release Details

Nioh 3 is currently in development and scheduled for release on 6th February 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Windows PC via Steam. The game features Japanese and English voices, with text available in English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish.
