Who goes there?! Saber Interactive’s 3D Realms label, together with developer Anshar Studios, has unveiled a thrilling new gameplay trailer for the reimagined Painkiller at the Horror Game Awards Halloween Showcase. Launching on October 21, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, this action-packed shooter invites players to blast through hordes of demons in fast-paced co-op mayhem.
Fast-Paced, Gore-Filled Combat
Battle across gruesome gothic landscapes to stop the fallen angel Azazel’s invasion of Earth. Players can dive into the campaign solo or team up in online co-op with up to two friends, uncovering secrets and obliterating terrifying foes along the way. The trailer, narrated by one of Purgatory’s own demons, offers a glimpse at the intense action awaiting brave players.

Editions, Pre-Orders, and Bonuses
Painkiller will launch with Standard and Deluxe Editions. The Deluxe Edition includes the Season Pass with the Night Watch DLC (four character and six weapon skins) and additional post-launch skins. Pre-orders unlock the Iron Crusade bonus skin pack, while physical pre-orders also receive the Burnished Pride weapons pack with gold weapon skins.
