Across the Obelisk Necropolis of the Damned
The new expansion embraces a darker, more Gothic tone, introducing an entire late-game region filled with grim dangers, sinister enemies, and fresh strategic twists. Players can expect new challenges, new systems, and two powerful champions to add to their roster.
Two New Heroes Join the Adventure
Necropolis of the Damned brings with it two brand-new multiclass heroes, each offering unique playstyles and deep synergy potential:
- Velarion – The Blood Mage
A devastating blend of spellcaster and healer, Velarion excels at inflicting Bleed and Leech curses while strengthening allies through his magic. Perfect for aggressive curse-heavy builds. - Nevermoor – The Death Knight
A hybrid warrior-healer who generates coloured runes through actions like attacking, blocking, or healing. Different rune colours grant distinct buffs, allowing players to shape Nevermoor into a versatile support tank or brutal frontline destroyer.
A New Endgame Region – The Dusk Lands
The expansion opens up an entirely new Act 3 end-zone known as The Dusk Lands, offering a moody and hostile landscape filled with corruption and towering undead threats. This zone replaces The Void as an optional finale path and includes:
- A fully explorable new mini-map
- New encounters and events
- Challenging minibosses
- A brand-new final boss encounter
The region’s main setting, the Necropolis, was once a prosperous kingdom before its rulers struck a forbidden bargain for eternal life. The Count’s decision granted him immortality but twisted the land and its people into something horrifying and eternal.
New Gameplay Systems and Cards
Necropolis of the Damned expands the game’s tactical depth with several new mechanics:
- Infuse (Aura)
- Leech (Curse)
- A slate of new cards for build diversity
- New equipment and additional pets
Together, these mechanics introduce new combos and experimental strategies, especially when paired with the two new heroes.
Free Update – Practice Mode
Launching alongside the DLC is a completely free update for all players. The headline feature is Practice Mode – a risk-free environment where players can test decks, card synergies or new builds without needing to spend in-game resources. It’s the perfect training ground for min-maxers and theorycrafters.
