Owlcat Games and Koch Media have partnered up again for the release of the classic isometric RPG Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous (WotR) with physical console versions published on its newly launched Prime Matter label.
This is the second game set in the Pathfinder universe, following on from the release of Pathfinder: Kingmaker in 2018, telling the story of a world overrun by demons and supernatural forces.
A linchpin of the Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous story, players learn about the city early in the game as they interact with people who witnessed its siege and claim to be responsible for its loss 70 years ago. The Queen directs heroes to take back the fortress – by any means necessary – and the assault’s starting location is highly influenced by the choices players make and the advice they follow, with the fortress changing constantly, depending on the Mythic Path you choose and decisions you make throughout the game.
The PC edition will launch 2 September 2021 on Steam, GOG and Epic Games Store with the console versions shipping autumn 2021. The PC version will also be available on Nvidia’s cloud gaming service, with users able to stream the game on PC, Mac and Nvidia’s Shield TV streaming players.
