Planet of Lana II Children of the Leaf has officially launched worldwide, inviting players back into its stunning cinematic sci-fi world. Developed by Wishfully Studios and published by Thunderful, the sequel is now available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch 2, and Nintendo Switch for £16.99.
The game continues the emotional journey of Lana and her loyal companion Mui as they face new threats on their home planet while exploring deeper mysteries surrounding the world of Novo.
A Bigger Adventure on Planet Novo
Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf expands significantly on the original game, nearly doubling its scope and taking players into entirely new areas of the planet.
During the adventure, players will explore a wide variety of environments including snowy mountain peaks, dangerous underwater areas, lush forests, and hidden communities scattered across the world.
According to Adam StjƤrnljus, Creative Director and Co-Game Director at Wishfully Studios, the team wanted to build on everything they learned from the first game.
The sequel introduces more engaging puzzles, larger environments, new creatures, and an expanded narrative that continues to focus on the relationship between Lana and Mui.

A Companion-Based Puzzle Adventure
At its heart, Planet of Lana II remains a cinematic puzzle-platformer built around the bond between its two main characters.
Players will guide Lana through dangerous environments while working together with Mui to solve puzzles, avoid enemies, and uncover secrets hidden throughout the planet.
The sequel also improves movement and exploration mechanics, with Lana now being older and more agile. Players can perform wall jumps, navigate complex terrain, and move through the world more fluidly than in the original game.
These improvements help create a more dynamic adventure while still maintaining the slower, atmospheric pacing that fans of the series enjoyed.
A World That Tells Its Story Without Words
Like its predecessor, Planet of Lana II tells its story primarily through visuals, music, and player interaction rather than spoken dialogue.
The hand-painted environments showcase a world where nature and technology collide, while different tribes across Novo react to the changing world in their own ways.
Throughout the journey, players will uncover deeper truths about the planet and learn more about Mui’s mysterious past.
The story unfolds over a cinematic adventure that lasts roughly 6 to 8 hours, supported by a sweeping orchestral soundtrack designed to enhance the emotional tone of the experience.
Supporter Pack and Demo Available
Alongside the launch of the main game, a Supporter Pack is available for PC and PlayStation 5.
This bundle includes a digital art book, the Novo Language Companion guide that explores the game’s fictional language, and additional wallpapers and backgrounds for PC players.
A playable demo has also launched for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, giving players a chance to try the game before purchasing. Demos remain available across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms as well.
A Visually Stunning Return
Early critical reception has been strong, with several outlets praising the game’s visual style and emotional storytelling.
The sequel continues to build on the distinctive art direction and cinematic presentation that made the original Planet of Lana stand out among indie puzzle adventures.
With a larger world, deeper puzzles, and an expanded story, Planet of Lana II Children of the Leaf looks set to deliver another memorable journey for both new players and returning fans.
