I love Easter, loads and loads of chocolate, and piles of extra weight then back to doing more exercise. Maybe this year you can head down to London for this Years London Games Festival. A full 10 days celebrating the very best of UK Gaming form the 5th-15th April 2018, that is a full 10 days.
On the 14th April there is a Family day event, and its on a Saturday, event though I can not stand London, everyone is so busy, heading to London if your kids are gamers, should be a treat for them and maybe even you, the parent. Whats happening, costume making workshops, Games Character Parade, a chance to experience what gaming was like in Roman times and a video game design workshop.

The Actual Reality Arcade brings games to life like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, Donkey Kong, Tetis or even whack a mole. This is your time to be apart of a game, not just behind a screen.

Drop in sessions take place between 10:30 – 11:45 and then 14:00-16:00. Learn tips and tricks on how to get involved in Game Concept and Game Making. This event is to encourage 10 – 18 to enter the BAFTA Young Games Designer Competition
Get to chat with the game designers themselves between 14:00 – 16:00 there will be 10 x 10 minutes slots available to anyone aged 10-18 interested in game design. Bring over your CV’s portfolios and/or games that they are currently working on to discuss with their expert. Were Romans The First Gamers? Between 10.30 – 11.30 and 14:00- 16:00 to talk about what life was like for a Gladiator, show you some sword tricks and even teach you to play some of the Empire’s more civilised games.
