Lexar has announced four products have won the prestigious Red Dot Award for Product Design 2021.
Since 1955, the Red Dot Awards have recognized the best products for design in a given year. The international panel of experts and judges who reviewed the products entered the competition were guided by assessment criteria such as the product’s formal quality, ergonomics and longevity.
Led by the Lexar industrial design team, Lexar product designs uphold the brand promise to provide customers with cutting edge design which go above and beyond expectation. The winning products include Lexar Professional Multi-Card 3-in-1 USB 3.1 Reader, which features a spacecraft-like design with professional USB 3.1 technology to deliver high-speed file transfers. The Lexar Professional CFexpress-Card USB 3.1 Reader is designed with heat dissipation in mind for blazing-fast transfers on the go and sports a sophisticated matte top finish. The Lexar Encrypted Portable Hard Drive is elegant, smooth-surfaced with rounded edges and slim lined sides, which make it user-friendly to carry, and it comes with a hardware encryption function, managed with physical FileDog keys to make it more secure. Lastly, the Lexar SL210 Portable Solid-State Drive offers a fine sandblasted aluminum enclosure perfect for creatives on the go who need extra durability and storage.

The winning Lexar products can be seen in the online exhibition on the Red Dot website starting 21 June 2021. The date also marks the beginning of the Red Dot Design Week, during which this year’s award winners and Lexar will be celebrated online and in the Red Dot Design Museum Essen, where all of the award-winning products are showcased.
