PUBG MOBILE Esports has officially announced the thrilling return of the PUBG MOBILE World Cup (PMWC) for its second edition, once again taking the spotlight as part of the Esports World Cup in Riyadh. The competition kicks off with the Group Draw, splitting 24 top teams from around the globe into three intense groups, all vying for a piece of the $3,000,000 USD prize pool and the coveted 2025 PMWC crown.
The stage is set
After debuting last year, the 2025 PMWC is back as the premier PUBG MOBILE Esports summer event, anchoring the scene’s commitment to building a global mobile esports ecosystem. This year, the stakes climb even higher with a refreshed SMASH ruleset.
Here’s how it works:
- A team must reach the match point threshold—set at the top team’s score after Day 2 plus 10 points—and then win a match to instantly claim the championship.
- If no team pulls this off within 18 matches, the squad with the highest total points will be crowned champion.
The Group Draw
The Group Draw wasn’t just about first matchups—it set the tone for breakout moments. The 24 elite teams were seeded into five pools based on regional results, then drawn into three groups: Red, Green, and Yellow.
Every team advances beyond the Group Stage, but there’s a big catch:
- Top 8 teams go straight to the Grand Finals in August.
- The other 16 teams will have to battle through the Survival Stage for a last shot at the championship.
