KRAFTON has rolled out PUBG BATTLEGROUNDS Update 41.1, bringing a major content drop that introduces a brand-new PvE mode, crossover content inspired by Stellar Blade, and the return of the popular aespa collaboration.
This update expands the traditional PUBG experience with new gameplay systems, fresh cosmetics, and limited-time events across PC and consoles.
PUBG – Patch Report #41.1 | New Mode: Xeno Point, New Attachments, and Destructible Terrain on Erangel
Xeno Point: A New PvE Roguelite Mode
Leading the update is Xeno Point, a co-op PvE roguelite mode that shifts PUBG into a completely different direction. Set on a reimagined Miramar, players must face off against an alien threat in a cosmic horror-inspired scenario.
Each run offers a unique experience thanks to randomized stages, mission paths, and progression systems. Players begin in a central hub before pushing through increasingly dangerous zones, ultimately leading to a boss fight against The Architect.
To survive, players can:
- Equip Blue Chip Skills tailored to offense, defense, or support
- Use powerful Super abilities fueled by alien energy
- Upgrade their character across multiple runs
- Wield the new Xeno Cannon weapon
An Event Pass: Xeno Point also launches alongside the mode, offering additional progression rewards.
Xeno Point Streamer Challenge
To celebrate the new mode, KRAFTON is hosting the Xeno Point Streamer Challenge, a global competition for Twitch and Kick creators.
With a total prize pool of $100,000, registration opens on April 4, with events running through April 23 across both PC and console platforms.
Stellar Blade Crossover Brings EVE to PUBG
Update 41.1 also introduces crossover content from Stellar Blade, bringing its protagonist EVE into the world of PUBG through the Contender System.
Players can unlock a range of themed cosmetics, including:
- EVE’s signature suit and alternate outfits
- Themed emotes, lobby poses, and kill effects
- Weapon charms, sprays, and drop trail effects
- Custom skins for helmets, backpacks, and even energy drinks
This crossover reimagines EVE within PUBG’s survival-focused setting, offering a fresh take on the character.
aespa Collaboration Returns
Following strong demand from the community, the aespa collaboration is making a limited-time comeback from April 22 to April 30.
Players will once again have access to themed content, including:
- Character outfits and emotes
- Weapon and frying pan skins
- Parachutes and other cosmetics inspired by the K-pop group
Additional Gameplay Updates
Beyond new content, Update 41.1 also delivers several gameplay improvements and system changes:
- Destructible terrain has been expanded to Erangel
- A new Level 3 Jammer Pack has been introduced
- Players can now call in supply drops using enemy Blue Chips at transmitter towers
These additions aim to introduce new strategic options and enhance overall match dynamics.
A Big Shift for PUBG
With the addition of a roguelite PvE mode, major crossover content, and gameplay updates, PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS continues to evolve beyond its battle royale roots.
Update 41.1 offers something for both long-time players and those looking for a different kind of PUBG experience.
