CMG Conferences, the event department of Computec Media Group (CMG), today announced more speaker highlights for QUO VADIS 2018, which takes place on April 24th and 25th at Station Berlin in the German capital. Featuring Dan Hay from Ubisoft Montreal, Simon Usiskin from F.L.I.P. Entertainment and Florian Busse from GIANTS Software, the organisers secured three exciting personalities with evenly exciting sessions for the conference. Dan Hay, Executive Producer and Creative Director at Ubisoft Montreal, will be among this year’s keynote speakers. Hay has been part of the gaming industry for over 13 years and has worked on multiple Far Cry and Marvel titles such as X-Men Legends. He acted out his passion for comics and film in the movie industry before, where his wealth of knowledge about animation, lighting and more production fields stems from.
During “Making Money From Music: the forgotten asset you never knew you had”, F.L.I.P. Entertainment co-founder and Managing Director Simon Usiskin will show developers, the lucrative possibilities of monetization which hide behind their own music IP. From a beginner’s guide about the music industry up to tips and tricks about marketing music, the industry veteran, who previously worked for iQU and Spil Games, will offer valuable inspiration.
3D-graphic artist Florian Busse from GIANTS Software takes his viewers on a quest to find the secret of really good level design in “The ABC of Level Design“. “All components of a game are sooner or later a topic for the level designer, whether it might be gameplay, programming, scripting, graphics, effects, animation or storytelling,” explains Busse, who will offer an entertaining in-depth look behind his craft.
