QUO VADIS 2018, the longest standing developer conference in Europe, today opens its doors at STATION Berlin. Numerous talks, panels and workshops are taking place today and tomorrow on a total of six stages. Among the headline speakers of QUO VADIS this year are Richard Garriott, Kate Edwards, Tameem Antoniades and Dan Hay. In addition, the expanded indie area invites attendees to many gaming sessions. Visitors and speakers are also invited to meet for the cocktail reception at 8pm to let the first day of the conference end together in a relaxing environment.
Last year the conference celebrated its 15th anniversary, and in the recent years it has become one of the leading game developer conferences in Europe. Apart from high-quality talks, panels and workshops, QUO VADIS also offers attendees the opportunity to meet veterans of the industry and young, up-coming talent. This is supported by MeetToMatch – the automatic matchmaking service, which can be used to plan personal meetings. Forty indie developers will be exhibiting this year in the Quo Vadis Indie Area where they will compete for the QUO VADIS Indie Award.
CMG Conferences, the event branch of Computec Media Group, is the organizer of QUO VADIS. Hans Ippisch, CEO of Computec Media Group, says about this year’s conference: “The theme of QUO VADIS 2018 is ‘back to the roots’. Together with the visitors, we focus on the question where the journey of the gaming industry is heading this year and in the following years. We are especially proud of our fantastic speaker line-up with international experts. QUO VADIS 2018 is an event that no representative of the industry should miss!”
