Resonate Total Gaming organisers, QD Events, has announced that it will be cancelling the two-day July gaming festival due to the ongoing circumstances surrounding COVID-19.
The interactive gaming event which was set to be held this summer at the SEC, Glasgow will not take place in 2020, due to the uncertainty of the timeline of the pandemic and the venue being used to host the temporary medical facility, NHS Louisa Jordan.
Lyndsey McElwee, Show Manager of Resonate Total Gaming said:
“It is with a heavy heart that we have decided to cancel Resonate for this year. We have been following the developments of the situation very closely and, following ongoing discussions around the implications of COVID-19, we have concluded that cancelling the event is the best course of action for this year.
“We are proud that our home, the SEC, Glasgow, is preparing to provide essential medical services as NHS Louisa Jordan, and we hope our visitors will join us in thanking the NHS workers for their ongoing dedication and sacrifices throughout this time.
“Like everyone, our main concern is the health and safety of the general public and we’re all playing our part to try to limit the impact of the virus.
“Although we are unable to enjoy the festival as we wished this year, we can assure our visitors we will be returning in the summer 2021 with our biggest and best show yet.”
All ticket holders will be contacted directly by the event organiser.
