Rix.GG announces the sponsorship of a partnered VALORANT tournament with British Esports Association’s Women in Esports, “The Huntress Trials”.
The Huntress Trials tournament will take place on the 30th through the 31st January 2021 from 12:00PM GMT to 10:00 PM GMT both days.
The purpose of this partnership tournament is to promote inclusivity and diversity within the esports industry. The Huntress Trials is an invite-only tournament created specifically for openly femme-identifying or marginalized; including but not limited to biological female, transgender women, openly femme-identifying, femme-presenting, or femme adjacent non-binary. Efforts have been made to include femme-identifying or non-binary individuals within every stage of the event behind the scenes and in the public eye.
The competition will feature up to 16 teams in total from across the UK and the EU in a 5v5 double-elimination format, meaning if you lose two BO1 matches, you are knocked out. Winners advance to the next round until the grand final, where the two finalist teams battle in a BO3 series for a chance to take home first prize.
The Rix.GG sponsored prize pool is £2000.00 GBP total, where the winners of the event will receive £1000.00 GBP, 2nd place £750.00 GBP and 3rd place will be awarded £250.00 GBP.
