ASUS Republic of Gamers has announced the launch of two new additions to its ROG Phone II range; the ROG Phone II Ultimate Edition and the ROG Phone II Strix Edition.
ASUS has achieved incredible success from its ROG smartphone range, with the ROG II unveiled at IFA 2019 in Germany to huge acclaim from gamers and smartphone enthusiasts. The two latest versions from its flagship range push boundaries even further, offering users unrivalled power, speed and storage capabilities for their mobile gaming needs.
The ROG Phone II ‘Ultimate Edition’ comes with a huge 12GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, while the ‘Strix Edition’ offers users 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Both devices continue to offer powerful hardware specifications that can support even the most demanding mobile gaming users.
Powered with the world’s fastest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor, clocking in at 2.96GHz and supported with a monster 6000mAh battery -complete with the GameCool II vapour-chamber cooling system -means users no longer have to compromise on speed or performance.
The ROG Phone II’s ultrafast 120Hz/1ms AMOLED 10-bit HDR screen offers world-beating Delta-E< 1 colour accuracy and unrivalled touch latency for the gaming edge, while the iconic side-charging design gives users complete control with uprated AirTrigger II technology. Dual Surrounding Vibration technology, dual front-facing speakers, a 3.5mm audio jack and the new quad mics with noise cancellation means the immersive nature of the ROG Phone II is not just restricted to the screen but can be experienced through touch and sound.
For the ultimate gaming experience, the ROG Phone II can be expanded with a unique range of accessories. Mobile Desktop Dock, TwinView dock II, Lighting Armor Case is supported, and there’s a new modular ROG Kunai Gamepad that provides physical console-like gamepad controls.
The ROG Kunai Gamepad consists of three components — the ROG Kunai Bumper, ROG Kunai Controllers and ROG Kunai Holder. The two-part Kunai Controllers can be attached to the Kunai Holder to create a standalone gamepad or combined with the Kunai Bumper to add physical gamepad controls to ROG Phone II itself. ROG Phone II also supports Qualcomm aptX, aptX HD and aptX Adaptive for low-latency, high-quality audio, over Bluetooth connections.
