Team17 has announced a new partnership with Bad Yolk Games to support the development of – and publish – the Swedish studio’s debut title, the freeform, physics-driven construction game, Main Assembly. Established in 2017 by a core team of five AAA developers, Bad Yolk Games has since expanded to a group of 11, and becomes the latest creative and innovative development studio to sign with Team17’s publishing label.
Team17 and Bad Yolk Games have also confirmed Main Assembly will be entering Steam Early Access in Q2 2020. Signups are now being taken for a limited closed beta, with keys set to be distributed on Monday.
Main Assembly key features:
- Freeform crafting: Construct any robot or contraption you can imagine – with no constraints!
- Solo & multiplayer sandbox gameplay: Work individually or with others online; share your inventions and enjoy endless gameplay possibilities
- Power visual programming: Harness the power of Main Assembly’s visual programming language to set up unique controls for creations, and even automate them
- Advanced physics: Experience aerodynamics and robot destruction; fly, drift, and destroy your creations
