New data by money.co.uk has revealed the real-life property values of some of the most iconic properties in the gaming world.
Showcasing properties from some of 2020’s most popular games, we have used canon, location and house price data to calculate just how much the likes of your Animal Crossing house, Goth Manor and the Starting House from Pokemon Sword and Shield would set you back.
With the success of games such as Animal Crossing in allowing users to experience virtual home ownership, money.co.uk have calculated the value of these homes and the mortgages based upon a 10% deposit, over a 25 year term.
Your upgraded Animal Crossing house would cost you £359,339 or a monthly mortgage payment of £1,533 a month!
Whereas a fully upgraded house in Animal Crossing: New Horizons comes in at a modest £359,339, with a monthly mortgage cost of £1533, the now infamous Croft Manor from Tomb Raider, would set you back a whopping £31.36 million, with a monthly mortgage cost of £133,877.
Interestingly, Goth Manor from The Sims series is the cheapest of the lot! With a value of £116,742, or £498 a month! Who needs ‘motherlode’?
