As the largest revenue stream of the global gaming market, mobile games continue generating huge profits for game developers. According to data gathered by GoldenCasinoNews, the three leading Google Play games hit $174.3 million in revenue as of March. With $91.3 million profit or more than 50% of that amount, Coin Master ranked as the most successful Android gaming app last month.
Coin Master Reached Over 81 Million Downloads
Launched in 2010, Coin Master has reached more than 81 million downloads with an average revenue per download of $6.20. The statistics show that in 2019 the popular game hit more than $500 million in global revenue.
With $44.4 million profit in March, Candy Crush Saga ranked as the second most-profitable Google Play game, revealed the Statista data. The King’s legendary candy puzzle game first hit smartphone screens in 2012 and became an overnight sensation. While the game itself is free-to-play, users have the option of making in-game purchases to help them get past certain levels. Statistics show that player spending in Candy Crush mobile games worldwide reached $1.5 bn in 2019.
PUBG Mobile -2nd Anniversary Hit 3 Million Downloads in March
Statistics show that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds mobile- 2nd Anniversary was the third most profitable Google Play game with $38.6 million in revenue, and 3 million downloads last month.
First launched in February 2018, the Tencent-backed mobile shooter earned over $1.5bn in lifetime revenue from both App Store and Google Play. Statistics show that the most significant part of that amount, or more than 40%, was generated in China. However, in terms of downloads, PUBG Mobile’s biggest market is India, with over 20% of the total number of downloads.
Gardenscapes and Pokémon GO ranked as the fourth and fifth most-profitable Google Play games in March, with $36.5 million and $26.6 million in revenue, respectively.
