As part of the 25th anniversary celebrations for the legendary Total War franchise, Creative Assembly has announced a major new update for the Total War: WARHAMMER series. Starting December 4th, players who own either Total War: WARHAMMER I or Total War: WARHAMMER II will gain free access to Total War: WARHAMMER III‘s critically acclaimed Immortal Empires campaign, along with The Lost God prologue. This opens the gates to a massive new playground of strategy and fantasy without requiring full ownership of the third game.
Immortal Empires has long been celebrated as the ultimate sandbox campaign in the WARHAMMER trilogy, combining maps, factions, and Legendary Lords from all three games into a single continent-spanning war for dominance. For many fans, it represents the pinnacle of Total War design โ deep strategy, powerful narrative forces, and endless replay potential across the grim and magical Warhammer world.
What Players Gain on December 4th
With the update, eligible players will unlock immediate access to Immortal Empires and The Lost God campaign, offering a wide spectrum of strategic opportunities, from building empires to battling legendary foes across a fully unified campaign map.
Players who want the complete WARHAMMER III experience โ including the original Realm of Chaos campaign and ten additional Legendary Lords โ can upgrade to the full game through the WARHAMMER III Upgrade Pack on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
