Ubisoft has released an in-depth gameplay walkthrough for Avatar Frontiers of Pandora: From the Ashes, the major new expansion launching on December 19 across Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC via Ubisoft Connect, Steam, Epic Games Store, Amazon Luna, and Ubisoft+. Developed by Massive Entertainment, A Ubisoft Studio in partnership with Lightstorm Entertainment and Disney, the expansion invites players back to the Western Frontier for a tense new story of survival and retribution.
Arriving the same day as the theatrical launch of Avatar: Fire and Ash, From the Ashes expands the game world with the ravaged Kinglor Forest and a new sub-region now under the control of the RDA and the brutal Ash clan.

So’lek Takes the Lead
The walkthrough is hosted by Creative Director Omar Bouali and highlights the journey of So’lek, a seasoned Na’vi warrior fighting to protect those he holds dear. The footage shows a high-stakes mission as So’lek infiltrates the once-beautiful Arahane Hometree, now seized by enemy forces.
Armed with a bow, blade, and his lethal Warrior Senses, So’lek demonstrates brutal stealth assassinations, precision combat decision-making, and the emotional weight behind every strike.
The Ash Clan Brings a Deadlier Threat
From the Ashes also introduces a new Na’vi enemy faction — the Mangkwan warband, led by the fearsome Wukula. Their arrival forces So’lek to confront challenges that will test not only his skills but also his beliefs, taking him into morally difficult choices against his own people.
The RDA is escalating the conflict as well, deploying advanced weapons and technology, including upgraded AMPs, Skel suits, and hellhounds. Meanwhile, So’lek’s bond with his Ikran, Ìley, plays a key role in mobility, aerial takedowns, and tactical repositioning.
A Streamlined Progression System
Players can earn Dog Tags by defeating enemies, unlocking expanded combat and stealth abilities through a clean and streamlined progression system built around refining So’lek’s warrior identity.
“With this walkthrough, we wanted to give players a glimpse of the raw intensity and emotional depth that defines From the Ashes,” said Creative Director Omar Bouali. “Every choice, every strike carries weight. This expansion is about survival, vengeance, and saving the ones you love.”
A Powerful Score by John Paesano
The expansion’s score comes from award-winning composer John Paesano, known for works including The Maze Runner films, Marvel’s Daredevil, the Marvel’s Spider-Man games, and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. His blend of orchestral and electronic elements helps deepen the darker, more visceral tone of So’lek’s journey.
