GIGABYTE has revealed a brand new unboxing video for the Z490 AORUS ULTRA G2 motherboard, GIGABYTE’s latest esports initiative in collaboration with its close partner, G2 Esports. This esports-ready motherboard was designed and developed using feedback from G2’s pro players and we have CS:GO superstar kennyS to speak on its development.
The special-edition package also includes a custom ESSential USB DAC and an exclusive laser engraved plaque signed by CS:GO legend, kennyS.
It’s clear from listening to kennyS that optimising PC builds is an important way for players to express themselves and make sure their rigs are performing to their maximum performance potential; it becomes essential. “Speaking not only for me, but also other esport professionals,” kennyS said, “we highly rely on the performance of our PC to be stable and reliable so we can freely focus on improving technical skills. “
Speaking further on the development on the motherboard, kennyS said:
“Customizing PCs allows players to express creativity and show off their unique personality through cosmetic features of the PC while simultaneously upgrading performance. With the AORUS Z390, G2 already collaborated with AORUS in designing a motherboard, however it was for only appearance purposes. To further strengthen the partnership, AORUS asked us for feedback regarding esport necessities on a motherboard when designing the Z490.”
One of the key features of the Z490 AORUS ULTRA G2 Edition is the ESSential USB DAC which alleviates any possible inconsistencies in sound when players swap between set ups with their gaming headsets or headphones, at practice and at tournaments. Speaking on how crucial good quality sound is in competitive CS:GO, kennyS said, “Sound is very important as in game sounds can signal enemy movements. Even knowing milliseconds ahead of time can determine the outcome of duels.”
