The Irregular Corporation to publish Under a Porcelain Sun this Summer, along with an indie gem freebie
Immerse yourself in a surreal vision of Colonial India in Under a Porcelain Sun
Today The Irregular Corporation announced that it is publishing Studio Oleomingusโ next title, Under a Porcelain Sun.
Inspired by, postmodern and magical realist literature, Under a Porcelain Sun is an exploration game that immerses you in a surreal vision of India under British rule, in early Nineteenth century.
Travel through a country caught amidst the flux of Colonial expansion, in this text driven first person adventure game, as you get embroiled in the search for Kayamgadh, a city that does not exist.
Encounter, brass astronomers and tribes of wax giants, secretive langoors and indolent magistrates, wandering cities and invisible cantonments, in a story told through ever shifting frames of narration. A story that you piece together with every shift and warp in reality, and every surreal, beautifully realised environment that you wander through.
Originally called โSomewhereโ, Under a Porcelain Sun was incubated at a residency program at Khoj (International Artists association, Delhi, India). And was supported by an arts practice grant from the India Foundation for the Arts, prior to this partnership with The Irregular Corporation.
Under a Porcelain Sun is planned for release in Summer 2018.
