Warframe fans, buckle up! Digital Extremes brought the hype to Gamescom 2024 with their TennoVIP community bash, and they didn’t disappoint. The team unveiled a treasure trove of updates, including the name for Warframe’s mysterious Fall Update, a thunderous new deluxe skin for Volt, and the first look at the new Warframe, Cyte-09.

Big News from Gamescom 2024:

New Update Name Revealed: Warframe’s upcoming Fall Update finally has a name—Koumei and Five Fates. Inspired by Japanese culture and the idea of safeguarding good fortune, this update is set to bring major changes. Get ready for a full breakdown at the Tokyo Game Show, where they’ll also introduce the 58th Warframe.
Volt’s New Deluxe Skin: Volt, one of the OG Warframes, is getting a “thunder god inspired” deluxe skin in the Koumei and Five Fates update. The sneak peeks are electrifying, with concept art and a work-in-progress screenshot already turning heads.
Meet Cyte-09: The 59th Warframe, Cyte-09, who was first teased as Protoframe Quincy at TennoCon 2024, will debut this Winter alongside the much-anticipated Warframe: 1999 update. Attendees at TennoVIP got a sneak peek at Cyte-09’s in-game model, complete with his stylish beret.
Warframe: 1999 and Soulframe Trailers: The Into The Infinite showcase at Gamescom also featured fresh gameplay trailers for Warframe: 1999 (coming Winter 2024) and Soulframe (public testing in Fall 2024). Both are shaping up to be must-plays.
Anime Short and Concept Art: Animation studio THE LINE gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at their upcoming anime short for Warframe: 1999, complete with character concept art for Protoframe Lettie.
New Nightwave Rewards: The next volume of Nightwave rewards drops on September 3rd, bringing a slew of Stalker-themed goodies, including new operator gear and sigils.
