The latest Warframe update, Techrot Encore, is now live across all platforms, bringing a massive content drop to the long-running sci-fi epic. This follow-up to Warframe: 1999 expands the game’s roster, missions, and music, making it a must-play for Tenno eager for fresh experiences.
New Warframe: Temple Brings the Heat!
The 60th Warframe, Temple, is a pyrotechnic powerhouse wielding a self-aware guitar named Lizzie. This Exalted Solo weapon transforms into a flamethrower, allowing for elemental-based attacks. Temple’s abilities include:
- Pyrotechnics – Burn enemies with fire pillars.
- Overdrive – Unleash sonic heat waves.
- Ripper’s Wail – Hit a high note to become invulnerable and heal.
- Riot-848 – A signature pistol that recalls bullets back to the magazine.
Boy Band Boss Fights? Meet the Technocyte Coda!
For those who love Warframe’s weird and wonderful side, Techrot Encore delivers with the Technocyte Coda—a virus-infested boy band that serves as an Adversary System boss fight. Players can battle this infected pop group, unlock 13 new Infested-themed weapons, and grab stylish thematic cosmetics.
New Social Hub, Protoframes & Relationship System
The Höllvania Central Mall expands with The Round Table Bar, introducing four new Protoframes—Flare (Temple), Minerva (Saryn), Velimir (Frost), and Kaya (Nova). Players can interact with them through the K.I.M. conversation system, building platonic relationships and unlocking unique voiced dialogue and customizable Gemini Skins.
Fresh Missions & Mini-Games
The update brings two new mission types:
- Stage Defense – Protect Flare as they perform a memorial concert.
- Temporal Archimedea – The hardest challenge yet, with support from the Protoframes.
Plus, a new Atomicycle racing mini-game called Ollie’s Crash Course lets players drift through an arcade course. This mode even features a voice cameo from James Conlin, thanks to Digital Extremes’ partnership with the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
New Music & Cosmetics
- A new original song, “Lamenting the Days,” featuring Jake Bowen and Mark Holcomb from Periphery with vocals by Elliot Coleman.
- The Gyre Vortengeist Deluxe skin, TennoGen Encore Collection skins, and new Syandanas and armor pieces.
Quality-of-Life Updates
- Pseudo Exalted Abilities rework affecting certain Warframes.
- Defense mission waves reduced for a smoother experience.
- Replayable quests for The Duviri Paradox and The Hex.
- Loaner Necramech for players starting The New War quest.
- Simplified Archwing crafting and improved Star Chart progression toward The Second Dream quest.
