Lost Ark is celebrating its fourth anniversary with one of its most ambitious updates yet. The new Guardians’ Rage update is now live, bringing a powerful new class, sweeping progression changes, new events, and a long list of quality-of-life improvements aimed at both new and returning players.
New Class: Guardianknight
The headline addition is the Guardianknight, a devastating new class that wields a massive halberd and channels the power of fallen guardians. Designed around aggressive, high-impact combat, the Guardianknight builds power through successful attacks, charging the Embereth Orb Gauge.
Once fully charged, players can enter the Incarnation state, transforming partially into a guardian form with claws, wings, and scales. In this state, movement speed is massively increased and new Incarnation Skills unleash overwhelming destructive force, allowing players to tear through enemies at close range.
Those looking to master the class can take on a dedicated Awakening Quest, alongside new achievements, titles, trophies, and a Training Room Guide tailored specifically for the Guardianknight.
Progression System Revamp Makes Endgame Faster
One of the biggest changes in the update is a complete overhaul of progression for Tier 3 and below. The traditional gear honing system has been removed for lower-tier content, dramatically reducing friction and getting players into endgame activities much faster.
Completing main story quests now directly grants gear sets that meet the required Item Level for the next continent, while older honing materials have been retired or converted into higher-tier equivalents. Honing costs for Akkan and Tier 4 gear have also been significantly reduced.
For returning players, this means far less grind to catch up. For new players, the path through Arkesia is now clearer, faster, and far more forgiving.
Milestone Missions Replace Older Systems
The new Milestone Mission System replaces Weekly Una’s Tasks, Roster Missions, Mokoko Challenges, and previous Growth Missions. This streamlined system provides structured guidance up to Item Level 1700, with rewards focused on meaningful progression rather than busywork.
Growth Missions are divided into eight stages based on Item Level, while Weekly Missions reward points that can be exchanged for growth-focused rewards of the player’s choice. It’s a cleaner, more flexible approach that adapts better to different playstyles.
Fourth Anniversary Events and Rewards
To celebrate four years of Lost Ark, anniversary events are now live in-game until March 11. Players can earn event coins, unlock exclusive rewards, and participate in special activities tied to the anniversary event island.
All players will also receive an Event South Rimeria Powerpass, boosting a character straight to Item Level 1640. Paired with this is the Challenge Express event, offering heavy honing support, bonus rewards, and milestone challenges designed to push characters efficiently toward Item Level 1700.
Mokoko Bootcamp Returns With Expanded Support
The popular Mokoko Bootcamp event has been expanded, encouraging veteran players to help new and returning adventurers tackle raids. Both groups earn rewards for participating together, fostering a more welcoming environment while addressing party finder barriers.
The event now supports more raids, higher Item Levels, and includes exclusive rewards such as titles, honing materials, and progression-focused items. Mokoko Bootcamp will remain active until May 13, 2026.
Quality-of-Life Improvements Across the Board
The update also delivers a huge batch of quality-of-life upgrades. Bulk honing, bulk quality upgrades, faster animations, improved UI navigation, revamped skill recommendations, and new build-sharing Skill Codes all aim to reduce friction and make character optimisation easier than ever.
DLSS and FSR upscaling options have also been added, alongside dozens of interface tweaks, combat readability improvements, and system refinements that touch nearly every part of the game.
A Strong Step Forward for Lost Ark
With a powerful new class, a reworked progression system, generous catch-up mechanics, and anniversary celebrations in full swing, the Guardians’ Rage update marks a major turning point for Lost Ark. Whether you’re jumping back in or setting foot in Arkesia for the first time, there’s never been a better moment to do it.
