PC Puzzle Sensation Death Coming Set for iOS Launch In February
NEXT Studio announces that the Final Destination-style puzzler will be coming to mobile devices.
If you ever wanted to take the role of Death on-the-go, then NEXT Studio has you covered. The team has announced a new mobile port for the break out puzzle hit Death Coming that’ll give mobile players a morbidly good time. Originally made for the PC, the game will retain the cheeky humor, pixel charm, and the large levels it was known for.
After your untimely death, you’ve been given the chance to be the apprentice of the Grim Reaper itself. With no recollection of your identity and death, you join the Grim to collect souls. With your new line of work, maybe you’ll figure out why you lost your memory…
If you want to collect souls, the only way to do so is by causing accidents. When you find an object in a level, a quick click can unleash it on an unsuspecting victim. Whether it’s a flower pot on the windowsill or a hive of bees, each level gives players a variety of items to “accidentally” collect their souls. With its open-ended design, cute pixel art and wacky humor, players will solve puzzles unseen on smartphones.
The pixel puzzler was originally released on Steam to commercial and critical success on November 6, 2017. With two nominations from indiePlay2017 (plus a soon-to-be announced award at SXSW), over 100,000 copies sold, and a “Very Positive” rating on Steam thanks to over 1,000 user reviews, Death Coming promises an experience beloved by PC players and (in the future) mobile fans.
Death Coming will be available on the App Store this February, more information about the date and price of the app will be available in the upcoming weeks.
