STARZPLAY has released the official trailer for the highly anticipated genre-bending comedy “The Great.” The platform will premiere the series on Thursday, 18th June in the UK, Republic of Ireland, Germany, Austria, Spain, France, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Latin America.
From Oscar-nominated writer Tony McNamara (The Favourite), “The Great” is a satirical, comedic drama about the rise of Catherine the Great from outsider to the longest reigning female ruler in Russia’s history. Along with Elle Fanning and Nicholas Hoult, the series stars Phoebe Fox (Eye in the Sky), Adam Godley (“The Umbrella Academy”, “Breaking Bad”), Gwilym Lee (Bohemian Rhapsody), Charity Wakefield (“Bounty Hunters”, “Wolf Hall”), Douglas Hodge (Joker, “Black Mirror”), Sacha Dhawan (After Earth), Sebastian de Souza (“Medici”), Bayo Gbadamosi (“Dr. Who”) and Belinda Bromilow (“Doctor Doctor”).
“The Great” is created, written and executive produced by McNamara and executive produced by Marian Macgowan, Thruline’s Josh Kesselman and Ron West, Echo Lake’s Brittany Kahan Ward, Doug Mankoff and Andrew Spaulding, Elle Fanning, Mark Winemaker and Matt Shakman. The project is produced by Civic Center Media in association with MRC Television.

Subscribers to the STARZPLAY channel on the Apple TV App can watch online or enjoy offline downloads of their favorite shows and movies available through STARZPLAY, which is available on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and select Samsung smart TVs.
Virgin TV customers who add the STARZPLAY subscription to their package can view the content by pressing Home on their V6 remote control and then clicking On Demand followed by Box Sets.
