The Grand Theft Auto franchise has existed for well over a decade and its programmers are credited with creating some of the most entertaining first-person platforms on the market. This is why it should come as no great surprise that their latest release has already been turning heads. Grand Theft Auto: Diamond Resort & Casino brings much to the digital “table” and players should love what is in store. Let’s take a quick look at how this iteration takes the notion of role playing to the next level as well as why their new interface is different (and somewhat the same) to a traditional IRL casino.
The Role-Playing Features of Diamond Online Casino & Resort
The online casino market has been booming, and for good reason. Technology now allows players to embrace a much more personalised approach than in the past. Furthermore, many portals are now including features such as advanced AI and live dealers within their platforms. So, how do these advancements relate to the GTA version?
Notwithstanding the separate missions and somewhat destructive gameplay, the main takeaway point here is that players have many other options at their disposal. They can interact with other NPCs, check out a large bank of slot machines and even wager on a horse race. In other words, the actual casino itself is highly engaging.
GTA has always been heavily focused upon the role-playing aspects of their franchise and this new release is certainly not different. However, one slight (and realistic) departure from some other versions is that many of the more advanced features cannot be unlocked without depositing a significant amount of GTA money. This DLC is therefore similar to other real-world casinos, as becoming a high roller requires time, effort and cash.
Finally, players will be required to make more strategic decisions when compared to driving through a neighbourhood or avoid being caught by the police. This should add a welcome sense of intelligent realism into the game as a whole.
Digital Versus IRL Casinos
We now come to an important question. How does this digital realm compare to a real-world establishment? We are all aware that the virtual casino community tries to provide players with a wealth of choices. These include bonuses, a plethora of games, baking options, and the ability to interact with live dealers. GTA takes such notions a step further with an immersive three-dimensional environment, a VIP area and even potential access to a penthouse. These are some of the very same features which are offered by real-world casinos. The fact that it takes time and money to become a valued member is also a nice touch which reflects a greater sense of reality.
Of course, the storyline behind GTA Diamond Casino & Resort is entirely fictional. It should still be mentioned that the developers have taken a great deal of time to further enhance the role-playing nature of this game as well as the realistic nature of the casino itself. It therefore stands to reason that this new iteration has already been a big hit with fans.
