Gunstar Heroes was developed by Treasure, the Japanese studio known for frantic action games and innovative gameplay systems, and first published by SEGA for the SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive. The game has two playable characters, ‘Red’ and ‘Blue’ – two members of the Gunstar family – who are on a mission to stop the Empire, an evil organisation that has set out to destroy civilization.
