- Brits will take an average of 57 pictures this Christmas
- Just 31% will use a dedicated camera
- 54% want to share the photos with others online
THIS WINTER, Brits will use a combination of cameras, smartphones, tablets and drones to document their Christmas, according to new research.
A study of 2,000 UK adults by DronesDirect.co.uk, one of the UKβs leading drones e-tailers,revealed that Brits will take an average of 57 pictures using 4 different devices this Christmas.
But, just 31% will use a dedicated camera to take their Christmas photos.
54% revealed they will be using their smartphones, closely followed by 42% who will use their tablets to document Christmas.
More than 1 in 3 (34%) admitted they are now using drones to help them get the ultimate Christmas shot.
Indeed, 61% of drone owners cited photography as one of the main uses of their drone, as highlighted in the Drone Usage Report 2017.
More than half (54%) admitted they want to share the photos with others online.
Mark Kelly, marketing manager at DronesDirect.co.uk, said, βChristmas is a special time of year, so itβs no surprise that many of us now want to cherish these memories and take as many photos as possible.
βOur ProFlight range of drones have advanced camera technology, so it is great to see how drones are becoming a staple device for Brits taking photos at Christmas time. That said, drone owners need to ensure they are familiar with the CAA regulations before taking flight to get their perfect shot this Christmas.β
DronesDirect.co.uk has previously pledged its commitment to helping ensure safe and responsible drone usage via its Customer Charter, and has called on other major retailers to follow its lead.
