IGG Games’s COO Kevin Xu discussed the success of games like Lords Mobile, stating the following: “We limit our marketing budget below 25% of our cash flow, which is 8 million USD per month. We definitely will continue our marketing efforts, as the key of the success of a game company is to consistently acquire new users. IGG’s user acquisition may be slightly different from other gaming companies. We don’t like to absorb a huge amount of new users in the beginning and then no users to acquire later. Losing players so quickly on the market is sad, we prefer a steady flux of new players on a sustainable basis.“
This report comes after the release of Lords Mobile’s Familiar Update: the largest update for the game since its launch. The update gives players a chance to capture the monsters they used to grind for gold and turn them into powerful familiars. The Familiar Update is now available in Lords Mobile for free on the App Store and Google Play.
