Gaming chairs are everywhere these days. From the high-end gamer chairs that cost over $800 to cheap ones that can be had for less than $100, picking a decent one out based on your budget can be tricky. So I decided to review the chair that I have owned for some time and can give a good, true review of the product.
In this review, I’ll be reviewing the Killabee 8204 Gaming Chair. It costs less than $200, and has close to 500 positive reviews on Amazon (⅘ stars). How is the chair really? Let’s find out.

Build Quality and Weight Capacity
The Killabee 8204 racing-style computer gaming chair is great for gamers but it is sought after for office use too. It has been designed and built with ergonomic comfort in mind.
I’m 5’10” and weigh 181 lbs, and for me, the chair suits my body shape perfectly for all-hours usage. According to the manufacturer, the Killabee 8204 is suitable for large individuals weighing up to 350 pounds. Note however that in another review, the tester said the chair’s real maximum capacity is around 250 pounds and 6’1”. This is something to keep in mind.
This Killlabee chair uses memory foam padding applied in layers and this is the key to the chair’s comfort – the thickness and density gives the chair plenty of support for full-time use. The foam isn’t flattened with heavier weights.
The build of the Killabee 8204 ensures comfort and security, and with its metal frame as well as the explosion-proof gas spring it suits many different kinds of gamers.
The Killabee has excellent positioning of the backrest wings, and this reduces stress to your shoulder and back. The designer leather gaming chair comes with PU padded adjustable armrests. Also, the length of the Class 4 hydraulic pistons caters to a broad range of users’ heights.
This is a heavy-duty gaming chair with a robust, stable structure. With the Killabee 8204, the assembly of the chair is straightforward and when it comes to unpacking all the parts, you’ll find that most of the screws are already in their holes. All you’ve got to do is tighten them. You shouldn’t have to call anybody to help you as the parts are all fairly light.
I managed to assemble the chair on my own. If you’re wondering about tools and how to assemble the chair, with the Killabee 8204, an Allen key, as well as spare screws, are included. Killabee warrants the 8204 to be free from defects in material as well as workmanship for a year.
Recline and Footrest
The backrest tilts and reclines all the way down to almost horizontal 155° and the resting angle you opt for can be locked – anywhere between 90 to 155°. This feature together with the padded footrest means you can literally take naps in this gaming chair.
Lumbar Pillows
A gaming chair with good support for your neck, shoulders and back can play a huge role in ensuring that your gaming sessions are pain-free.
The Killabee’s neck and lumbar support pillows are attached to the chair by means of straps. These pillows can be lowered or raised as you like.
I find the pillows very comfortable, although the massage function doesn’t really work that well. The neck pillow is especially well designed and fits my neck perfectly.
My verdict
What I like about the Killabee 8204 gaming chair is that it’s not just stylish, but very comfortable, unlike some cheaper gaming chairs I’ve tried.
I also like that the company has been around for a while already, since 2001. This means they’ve had many years of experience specializing in the development and manufacture of gaming- and office chairs.
Overall I’m very happy with my Killabee 8204, especially for the price.
