Pearl Abyss has announced Black Desert Online’s content roadmap at the annual Heidel Ball community event that was also livestreamed over Twitch & YouTube. This interactive showcase revealed the new playable content “Abyss One: The Magnus”, an innovative new world, the game’s third Atoraxxion co-op dungeon named “Yolunakea”, and “The Land of the Morning Light”, a new region that is heavily inspired by Korea’s Joseon Dynasty.
New Content: Abyss One: The Magnus
The Magnus is another world that has always coexisted alongside the world of Black Desert. This unseen realm is not bound to time and space, offering to players different challenges and adventures that can’t be easily found in Black Desert Online’s main world. For instance, players in The Magnus can travel to special areas called “Abysses” where they will encounter missions and quests that are unique to the theme and storyline of each Abyss.
Abysses can be accessed through wells in the game and used as a new means of transportation to other territories within Black Desert Online. Furthermore, this update allows players to freely move items across storage locations in the world. Players who complete all The Magnus main quests will be able to acquire a new “Rabam Skill” and a “PEN (V) Boss Armor”. Abyss One: The Magnus will officially launch worldwide on October 12th.
New Co-Op Dungeon: Atoraxxion: Yolunakea
Black Desert Online’s third co-op dungeon, Atoraxxion: Yolunakea was announced. Set in the ruins of an ancient forest, this new dungeon offers epic monster battles, thought-provoking puzzles and an in-depth exploration of lore through a fast-paced story-driven questline. Players will embark on a journey to defeat the new challenging boss “Amarillos” that evolves into a new form with more strength and power every time it is taken down. The difficulty of this dungeon is set similar to the previous co-op dungeon “Sycrakea”. The launch of Atoraxxion: Yolunakea is scheduled for this November.
New Region in Development: The Land of the Morning Light
The Land of the Morning Light is Black Desert Online’s new region that is currently in development and teased at this year’s Heidel Ball. Inspired by the Joseon Dynasty—the last dynastic kingdom of Korea, the new region features unique terrain, buildings, and vegetation that are reminiscent of the era. Players can expect exciting quests that are based on Korean myth and folklore and can look forward to the game’s highest level of gloves which will be introduced when this region launches.
Elvia’s Realm Parallel World
Elvia’s Realm is a hunting ground in Black Desert Online that provides stronger monsters and challenging mechanics to players who wish to experience more exciting gameplay. With the Parallel World update, players who wish to visit Elvia’s Realm can now enter the realm regardless of their chosen server. Players will be able to enter the Elvia Realm by simply clicking a button which will show up in a designated spot at each hunting ground. Elvia’s Realm Parallel World will launch in Korea on October 5 and updates for other regions will follow afterwards.
