Paris Saint-Germain Esports is back in action on Dota 2, thanks to a partnership with Qatari team Quest Esports that will see the creation of the PSG Quest team. The new outfit will make its debut at The International 2023, one of the most prestigious tournaments on the Esports scene, to be held on 12 to 29 October 2023.
The club from the French capital is reconnecting with Dota 2 fans for a new adventure that promises to be high on excitement and success, taking part in one of the most prestigious of tournaments in a game played by hundreds of thousands of gamers around the world.
Launched in 2011, The International is one of the oldest of Dota 2 tournaments. The World Cup of gaming, it attracts the world’s biggest Esports teams. Famed for the quality of competition it produces, it offers the highest cash prize in global gaming.
For the first time since it became the first European club to set up an Esports section in 2016, Paris Saint-Germain is teaming up with an outfit from the Middle East. In Qatar’s Quest Esports, it now has a partner brand that possesses a significant amount of expertise and reflects the interests of its fans.
Followed by nearly 1.3 million fans on social media, Quest is much more than an Esports team; it is a symbol of Qatar’s entrance into the international competitive gaming arena. Their connection to local initiatives, such as the Qatar Esports Federation Partnership and collaboration with the Qatar Football Association, emphasizes their commitment to integrating esports with broader sporting sectors in Qatar. Like Paris Saint-Germain, Quest Esports is aiming to inspire and guide a new generation of players and fans through outstanding experiences and achievements.
PSG Quest’s gaming house is based in Istanbul. Apart from competing in the Western Europe region of Dota 2, the newly formed PSG Quest will also leverage the PSG Studio, based in Paris Saint-Germain’s head offices in Boulogne-Billancourt, marking a unique synergy between the two teams
